Dr. Solomon D. Hill of New Bern, NC, graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Benedict College where he earned his degree in three years. He obtained his Masters in Social Work (MSW) at The Ohio State University in the Advanced Standing Program, completing his Masters in a year, and recently received his doctorate in social work from Millersville University. His current focus is higher education, where he has worked in Student Affairs and Academic Affairs Office at Central State University. He most recently served as the Mid-West Regional Vice-President of Benedict College National Alumni Association.
Dr. Solomon has over a decade of experience in higher education and 9+ years in clinical social work. He is a tenured faculty member in the Social Work program at Central State University. He leads by example, and every step he takes is steeped in knowing that each of us has the potential to grab the power of our dreams and use our own experience with life's challenges, discriminations, and adversities to affect those around us and alter the course of history. Dr. Solomon builds upon academic and programmatic strengths, is committed to the holistic wellbeing of humanity, and strives to empower all to become productive citizens.
He is an educator, a business owner, a man of faith, a devoted family member. He most recently ran for City Council for Englewood in Englewood, Ohio.
Selected Awards and Honors: The 2011 Outstanding Young Alumni Service Award recipient (Benedict College), and the 2017 Outstanding Recent Alumni recipient (The Ohio State University).
