Dr. Ed Bell retired from the NC Department of Public Instruction, as program administrator. Dr. Bell received his AAS in criminal justice technology from Craven Community College, BA in criminal justice from North Carolina Central University, MA in counseling, and EdD in education leadership both from Liberty University. Dr. Bell is a licensed school counselor, and licensed in 6-12 Social Studies and English/Language Arts.
In 1993, Dr. Bell received the prestigious Nancy Susan Reynolds Award for personal services, given by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, a $25,000 prize. He was also named Tar Heel of the Week by the News and Observer in 1994 and has received numerous awards for his community and philanthropic services.
Dr. Bell currently teaches at NC State University, School of Social Work and Capella University, School of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Barry Daly, EdD,PhD(c),LMHC,LPC(Ga) BCBA-D, CAP,MAC,ACS is a Florida-licensed mental health counselor, a Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor, a New Mexico-licensed Professional counselor, a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level, a nationally certified counselor, a Certified Addiction Professional, and a Master Addiction Counselor and has had the honor of teaching online since 2013.
He has more than 23 years of experience and expertise in mental health counseling, autism, behavior disorders, early intervention, substance abuse disorders, and court mediational services. As a consultant in-home, residential, and educational settings, he clinically supervised cases, created staff training, conducted workshops, and presented at professional development events. He has presented regionally at conferences on a variety of behavioral health topics. He is the founder of 2-Strive, LLC, A Behavioral Health and Educational Consulting Agency that provides training, support, and supervision to public school programs and parents of children with developmental and mental health disabilities.
Dr. Miranda Y. Pearson, LCMHCS, NCC, BCC, CSOTP, MAC, LCAS-A, BC-TMH is a licensed public school teacher, counselor, administrator, published author, coach and ordained minister. Having been in public education since 1996, Dr. Miranda has taught English, served as a high school counselor, as well as an Assistant Principal Intern and District Administrator. The former Executive Director of Not Just Another Community Center, Inc, is currently CEO/Owner and Clinical Director of Divine Appointment Counseling Services, P.A.
